Benefit for the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park
Join us at Grand Banks for a cocktail party to benefit the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park.
More than a hundred years ago, John Muir wrote that “everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike.” A visit to Virgin Islands National Park offers testimonial to this sentiment.
The park has been fastidiously preserved so that today we can take a quiet walk into the woods, or a swim along its undeveloped shoreline. Yet, one year after the two Category 5 Hurricanes Irma and Maria ravished the island, there are dozens of repairs that still need to be completed.
As Friends of Virgin Islands National Park has committed to raising half-a-million dollars to help the park complete restoration work, please join us alongside the Maritime Foundation at the iconic Grand Banks to show your support.
Guest of Honor, Former Virgin Islands Park Superintendent Brion Fitzgerald will be at the event to share valuable insights about the park and its future.
